In our Honors English class we are supposed to read a book and blog about it. In the first 50 pages of the book I'm reading, "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli published in 2000, Stargirl is a new girl at Mica Area High School. She dresses weird and plays a ukulele. Two boys run a school news show called "Hot Seat" and they want to put her on it. The one boy that is the director of the show is in charge of getting the people on the show, but he never lines up Stargirl for the show. The other boy is angered by this. I think that the boy that doesn't line Stargirl up for the show secretly has a crush on her and doesn't want to expose her and embarrass her.
